No. 5 Cal Women Swimming Upsets No. 4 USC

LOS ANGELES, CA - The No. 5 ranked California women's swimming team (7-1) upset No. 4 ranked USC (4-2), 154-127 (without results from three-meter diving), in a short course meters dual meet Friday afternoon at USC's McDonald's Swim Stadium.

The Bears were led by senior Elli Overton, who won the 200-meter free (2:01.51) and 200-meter IM (NCAA automatic 2:13.50). Sophomore Joscelin Yeo also won two events for Cal, taking first in the 100-meter fly (NCAA automatic 59.92) and 100-meter free (55.27). Other individual winners for the Bears included junior Haley Cope in the 100-meter back (1:00.98) and freshman Staciana Stitts in the 200-meter breast (2:29.03).

Cal also won the 400-meter medley relay (4:06.01 Cope, Stitts, Yeo, Anya Kolbisen) and the 400-meter free relay (3:46.51 Kolbisen, Jennifer Riggs, Cope, Nicole Omphroy).
