Italian Swimmer Suspended By FINA
Mar 27, 2000
FINA has handed down a 4 year suspension against Italian swimmer Vivianna Susin for having tested positive during a competition test on January 25, 1999 at the "Vittel Cup" in Lyon, France.
Susin's drug test showed a Testosterone/Epitestosterone level greater than 6, which under the FINA Rules 2.1 (a) and DC 9.1.1 constitutes a positive result.
Susin's suspension is effective immediately and eliminates any chances she may have had for a berth on the Italian Olympic team.
