The coaching appointments at British Swimming's Intensive Training Centres are almost complete, with Rob Greenwood and American sprint coach Shaun Zitani assigned to the Stirling and Stockport programmes respectively.

Greenwood, who has coached youth talent to international junior medals, moves to Stirling from his role as head coach of Gallica Swim Club near Manchester to take up the role in Stirling.

Zitani will leave behind his role as associate head coach at Kentucky University. His sprint strength will sit alongside the distance-base programme run by head coach at the Stockport centre, Sean Kelly.

National Performance Director Michael Scott said that the setting up of the centres had "been an extensive and exhaustive process that has led to a mixture of skills and experience being appointed that is capable of driving British Swimming forward over the next four years and beyond. This rich mixture of coaching talent, skill base and experience provides a variety of real opportunities for Britain's swimmers, whether sprint to distance, to train at any of the ITCs."

One more key appointment, the last at the centres, is still due to be announced, but Scott described the end of the recruitment process as an "important step" in delivering the environment that British swimmers need for success at a home Games in 2012 and beyond.
