Michael Phelps, greatest Olympian of al-time, is spreading the winning word in the company of some leading minds at a convention in Toronto called The Power Within on October 21.

Barbara Walters, the American TV front-woman, will host the event, which, beyond the winner of eight gold medals in Beijing, boasts the following line up" Patrick Lencioni, author of The Five Dysfunctions of a Team; Garry Kasparov, Chess grandmaster, on innovation and success; Dr Muhammad Yunus, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize; Jeffrey Zaslow author of The Last Lecture;  Peter Sheahan, author of Generation X: Thriving with Generation Y at Work; and Phil Town on successful investing (it would be interesting to know whether Mr Town has rejigged his notes of late).

Through a Swimming Canada deal, entry can be gained for $189; VIP ticket, $395. For VIP, make that "folk who can afford the fee".
