Nov 22, 2000

LARAMIE, Wyo. - The University of Wyoming swimming and diving teams remained undefeated on the season after easily taking care if their opponents Friday evening at Denver University in Denver, Colo.

The men defeated host Denver University 167-80, while the women defeated both Denver and Northern Colorado in a triangular contest. The Cowgirls recorded 154 total points to DU's 51 and UNC's 38.

"It was a great team effort," said UW head coach Tom Johnson. "We swam very well, just like we did last year at this pool, it's a wonderful facility to compete in. It's so exciting to be able to come to this pool and race hard and swim fast and turn out these times this early in the season considering how hard we have been training. We are very pleased about the performances."

Both Wyoming teams dominated the meet, winning ten events each. On the men's side senior Jason Garman won both the 50 free with a time of 21.89 and the 100 fly with a time of 52.55.
