Muffat And Agnel Limber Up For More

The last morning of heats at the Canet round of the Mare Nostrum Tour in France saw Yannick Agnel (FRA) lead the way in the 100m freestyle on 49.53 and Nice teammate Camille Muffat, the morning after a 1:54.66 textile best in the 200m free, on 4:11.66 in 400m heats. More firepower on display this evening.

In other events:

Felipe Lima (BRA) on 1:02.08 for lane 4 in the 100m breaststroke final in which he will meet Cameron van Der Burgh (RSA); and Jordan Coelho (FRA), on 2:01.25 in the 200m butterfly, facing a clash with the men either side of him this evening, Kaio Almeida (BRA) and Chad le Clos (RSA).

Among women, Fran Halsall and Caitlin McClatchey (GBR) pulled out of the 100m free, Victoria Poon (CAN) leading on 54.83, with Amy Smith (GBR), Jessica Morrison (AUS) and Therese Alshammar (SWE) fastest through to the final; Femke Heemskerk (NED), on 2:14.88, leading Elizabeth Simmonds (GBR) and Sinead Russell (CAN) through to the 200m backstroke final; Joline Hostman (SWE) at the helm of the 100m breaststroke on 1:09.93; and Audrey Lacroix (CAN) leading the way in the 200m butterfly on 2:11.95.
