On his recent trip to the US, Australian Ian Thorpe and teammate Kirsten Thompson paid a visit to the White House, taking Chelsea Clinton up on an invitation for a visit she had extended to the swimmer at the Sydney Olympics.

After seeing the Oval office and taking a few souvenier photos, Thorpe & Thompson actually got to meet President Clinton as Chalsea was giving the two Aussie's a tour of the White House rose garden.

Thorpe even got a chance to throw a tennis ball around for a few moments with Mr. Clinton and the first family dog Buddy.
