Twelve South Africa Make Olympic Cut

South African nationals came to a close in Durban with 12 swimmers on the plane to London 2012.

The lasts session saw Karin Prinsloo, on 2:10.76 over 200m backstroke, and Wendy Trott, on 8:30.61 in the 800m freestyle, confirm  places secured in semis yesterday, while Heerden Herman booked his place in the Olympic 1500m free with a 15:07.99 victory.

Chad le Clos completed a fine championships with fifth title, on 52.45 in the 100m butterfly.

In the dash events, Australian visitor Sophie Edington clocked 28.82 on backstroke.
