Candice Crafford (Mr. Price Seagulls) and Roland Schoeman (PAC) took the honors in the "Dash for Cash" at the TYR Westville Sprint Gala held at the Kings Park Aquatic Complex last weekend.

With a large contingent of swimmers from Pretoria making the trek to the coast this was once again a very well organized and well supported gala.

With a full program on offer, the meet was well supported despite many squads being in "heavy training".

The highlight of the meet was the elimination contest in the 50m Freestyle which held great expectations for the eventual winner.

With world class sprinters Brendon Dedekind and Roland Schoeman the major drawcard, the head to head contest was keenly awaited in the proceeding hype that led up to this meet.

Dedekind failed to arrive for the meet,so it was left to local lad Byron Jeffers (Kings Park) to ultimately take it to the former world record holder Schoeman. Jeffers leaves for the States after Christmas to join
