Yana Klochkova the Olympic 200 and 400 meter individual medley champion was named Ukraine's Athlete of the Year by the nations sports media.

Just 2 weeks ago Klochkova became the first winner of the LEN "Superstar 2000" challenge, the largest single prize ever awarded to a swimmer and took home 200,000 German marks ($90,000 US dollars).

In December Hungarian swimmer Agnes Kovacs was voted Hungary's Sports Personality of the Year.
