Jessica Hardy (USA) took her second gold of the meet in a championship record of 24.63, 0.07sec ahead of teammate Amanda Weir, bronze going to Victoria Poon (CAN) in 24.76, which locked out Yolane Kukla (AUS), 14, on 24.95.

"I just tried to swim my own race, keep my head down from the beginning," said Hardy, whose confidence was "getting better and better" after her first big US selection meet since she returned from a doping ban after testing positive for a substance found in a food supplement. "The last two years have been really hard," she said. "But I'm having a blast."
