Swimming Canada Announces Interim Leadership Structure

In keeping with its progressive efforts to provide the best possible services to its membership, Swimming/Natation Canada announces changes to its key leadership positions.

Effective immediately, Mr. Rob Colburn of Toronto, Ontario will become the Acting President of the association. Mr. Colburn is currently the Executive Vice President of SNC. President Bill McFarlane of Edmonton, Alberta, has taken a temporary leave from the portfolio due to health-related concerns.

The professional management of the association will become the responsibility of Mr. Ken Radford of Victoria, B.C. Mr. Radford is currently SNC's Director of Swimming Technical Development and will now assume the position of Acting Executive Director. Radford will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the organization and will be entrusted with a mandate to continue the board of director's present focus on conducting an organizational review. Radford's appointment is effective immediately and will be in place through the 2001-02 fiscal year.
