Paris World Cup on CBC
On March 3 CBC Sports will be airing highlights from the Paris World Cup which took place on January 27 - 28.

"DISCONTENT ON THE DECK"
Produced by Marc St-Aubin
Canada's swim team's performance at the Sydney Olympics was historic for the wrong reasons. The worst medal output since 1964 provoked all sorts of reactions...and opinions. Two voices weighing in with their views have history on their side: Clifford Barry and Jeno Tihanyi, two of Canada's most successful coaches. Barry and Tihanyi talk about the coaching malaise created by burnout, national training centres, coaching certification and politics. They say coaching is the key if Canada is to avoid a repeat performance in Athens.

"ONE COACH'S REPLY"
Produced by Marc St-Aubin
There's one man largely responsible for shaping Canada's high performance swimming program for most of the last decade... Dave Johnson's been head coach of the national team. He's spent most of his life in the sport and worked with both Clifford Barry and Jeno Tihanyi. As we heard, those veterans think there's a real crisis among swim coaches across Canada. We wanted to hear Dave Johnson's perspective. His reaction to the comments of his former colleagues... His prognosis for Canada's national swim program.... and his diagnosis of what happened in Sydney.
