Double world medley champion Ryan Lochte (Daytona Beach, Fla.) has withdrawn from the Duel in the Pool due to injury, USA Swimming has announced.

Lochte, until now a member of the 36-strong US squad heading to Manchester for racing next Friday and Saturday, is recovering from a recent knee surgery. No replacement will be made for the meet against a European select, E-Stars, of Brits, Germans and Italians.
