Oussama Mellouli (TUN), Olympic champion over 1,500m free, claimed the 200m crown in 1:46.44, while the women's equivalent went to Patricia Ortega (ESP), on 1:58.91.
The women's 100m back went to Alexianne Castel (FRA), in 1:02.13, while the session came to a close with an 8:20.78 victory for Alessia Filippi (ITA), Olympic silver medallist, in the 800m free, and a second gold for her and teammates in te 4x200m, in 7:56.69.
