Victor Davis Memorial Cup Raises $26,400.00

The second half of the Victor Davis Memorial Cup took place in Guelph, Ontario on the weekend. The meet, a fundraiser for the Victor Davis Memorial Fund raised a total of $26,400.00 this year.

The fund which was established after the tragic death of former Canadian swimming star Victor Davis in 1989, is used to recognized the accomplishments of some of Canada's finest young up-and-coming swimmers. The fund awards annual scholarships of $1,000 which are open to all competitive swimmers in Canada.

This year's award winners are Jessie Bradshaw (Calgary, AB), Kelly Doody, (Calgary, AB), Kurtis MacGillivary (Cambridge, ON), Tobias Oriwol (Mississauga, ON), Annamay Pierse (Edmonton, AB), Adam Sioui (Trenton, ON) and Chad Thomsen (Edmonton, AB).
