There are men and women in this world who keep alive the lore of the sport that we love. They came no better than Buck Dawson, who has died at the age of 87. The link takes you to the International Swimming Hall of Fame of which he was a founder member.

Swimming has lost a general among men and women who guard the history of the sport in many guises. We will miss Buck more than can be expressed in words.
