Canadian Kirby Cote Sets Records in Phoenix

At the 2001 USA Disability Championships in Phoenix, Arizona, Manta swimmer Kirby Cote (17) was named Female Swimmer of the Meet after she set 3 new world records and placed 1st in four events. Her 200 Free time of 2:16.73 set a new world record, eclipsing the previous mark of 2:17.57 set by Nina Eiben of Germany at the world championships in 1998. Kirby also bettered her own world records in both the 100 and 200M Breast. Kirby's fourth gold medal swim was the 800M Free.
