On day 3 of the Argentine Short Course Nationals, Florencia Szigeti managed to set a National record in the womens 100m free with her time of 56.19.

13-year-old rookie sensation, Mirna Vago of the Club Regatas Rosario, has managed to set five national age group records so far at her first National Championships meet.

In the mens events several managed to make the cut off times for the World Short Course Championships in Moscow 2002.
