Swimming & Diving Teams Split First MAC Meet

Akron, Ohio - The Ohio men's and women's swimming and diving team split their first Mid-American Conference meet between the University of Akron and the University of Buffalo on Saturday. The Bobcat women defeated Buffalo 306-252 and Akron 306-140 and are undefeated in four dual meets. The Bulls' men's swimming and diving team edged out Ohio 330-309. The Bobcats are 1-2 in dual meets this season.

On the women's side, the Bobcats won eight events. Senior Joanne Park won two events, finishing first in the 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard breaststroke. Junior Emily Bresser had the top times in the 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard freestyle.

On the men's end, Ohio placed first in six events. Senior diver Brian Billips was victorious in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events.

The Bobcats compete in their season-home opener against Denison University on Nov. 13 at 1:00 p.m.
