Rebecca Brown Announces Retirement

Rebecca Brown the current world record holder in the women's 200m breaststroke with a time of 2:24.76, has announced that she is retiring from swimming.

Brown 21, has decided to retire after she failed to make the Australian team going to the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malayasia.

She has had several disappointing seasons in the last few years having failed to qualify for the Australian team going to the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and the recent World Championships in Perth.
