After helping Indiana defeat the Evansville Purple Aces, 160-87, in the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center on Oct. 15, freshman Todd Patrick garnered Big Ten Swimmer of the Week recognition for the week of Oct. 18.

"We have been very happy with Todd thus far," Head Coach Ray Looze said. "He has shown the kind of potential and versatility that we had projected for him. It was fun to see him swim so well in some of his off events against Evansville. He has got a bright future in the sport and both Coach (Brian) Barnes and I look forward to helping him realize a wide array of success in the future."
