Corfe Smashes Continental Mark

The second day of the Telkom South African Short Course Championships, currently underway at the Strand Municipal Pool once again saw Melissa Corfe rewrite the record books.

The Mr. Price Seagulls star stole the thunder when she smashed the continental mark of Marizanne Grundling for the 400m freestyle by a massive 3.5 seconds when she posted an impressive 4:07.83.

What is more impressive is the fact that she dominated proceedings from the gun and was really only swimming against the clock with her nearest rival, Bianca Meyer from Tuks a distant 10 seconds off the pace.
