Wolf Pack Swimmer Earns WAC Honors

DENVER, Colo. - Nevada junior Ashley Selleh-Clendenin has been named the Western Athletic Conference athlete of the week for women's swimming and diving.

Selleh-Clendenin, a native of Fountain Valley, Calif., won six events as the Wolf Pack split dual meets last weekend, beating California, 152-148, but losing to Oregon State, 144-150. Against Cal, Selleh-Clendenin won the 50-free with a season-best time of 24.03. She also won the 100-free in 53.19 and was part of both the winning 200-medley relay and the winning 200-free relay.

Against Oregon State, Selleh-Clendenin again won the 50-free in 24.39 and took second in the 100-free with a time of 53.13. She was also part of the winning 400-free relay team.

Additional nominees included: Jessica Klenner, Fresno State; Mandy Mularz, Rice; and Charlotte Pierce, San Jose State.
