Swimming South Africa on Wednesday put forward their recommended team selection to participate in the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester from July 26 to August 4.

The recommended team has been submitted to the SA Commonwealth Association for ratification and final approval.

Commonwealth Team

Men:
Roland Schoeman (Northern Tigers), Ryk Neethling (KZN), Terence Parkin (KZN),
Brett Petersen (KZN), Theo Verster (KZN), Nick Folker (KZN), Lyndon Ferns 
(Limpopo), Hendrik Odendaal (WP) and Gerhard Zandberg (Northern Tigers).

Women:
Sarah Poewe (WP), Mandy Loots (Central Gauteng), Charlene Wittstock (KZN),
Helene Muller (CG) and Renate du Plessis (WP)

Synchronised Swimming:
Judi van Niekerk (KZN) and Jane Kurz (KZN)

Diving:
Dean Emmerton (CG)

Elite athletes with disabilities:
Natalie du Toit (WP), Scott Field (WP) and Ebert Kleynhans
