Georgia Tech's Men Fall to Georgia

ATHENS - In its first of two meets this weekend, the Georgia Tech men's swimming and diving team dropped a dual meet to 13th-ranked Georgia, 151-85, Friday night at the Gabrielsen Natatorium.

With the loss, the Jackets fall to 4-3 (2-1 ACC) on the season.

Junior All-American Shilo Ayalon was the lone Yellow Jacket to post a win against the Bulldogs. He claimed victory in the 500 free with a time of 4:29.45. He was followed by teammate Leo Salinas, who was third. Ayalon also placed second in the 1000 free.

Senior Brady Skaggs posted his second consecutive strong performance in the 200 butterfly, finishing second in a time of 1:50.37. Senior David Laitala also placed second in the 200 back, clocking a time of 1:50.10.

Junior Tomonori Tsuji also posted a runner-up finish, logging a mark of 2:01.80 in the 200 breast to finish second.

Tech returns to action Saturday, as the Yellow Jacket men and women host ACC rival NC State at 11:30 a.m. at Emory's Woodruff P.E. Center.
