"Our team showed great effort this evening," Texas men's swimming head coach Eddie Reese said. "There is a difference in mentality when you come in and swim an event or race an event. Tonight our guys showed up to race. That was the key in our performance and I look forward to see how our guys perform tomorrow. There is still a lot of swimming left to be raced."

"I was really pleased with the team's performance today," UT women's co-head coach Jill Sterkel said. "They came out this morning and proved that they are a team. The attitude helped everyone's performance and really got them on a roll. We had a lot of people pick up the automatic and consideration time for NCAA's, which is a bonus. The key is for our team is to refocus and come here tomorrow ready to compete."
