Ohio State Women Fall To Purdue and Iowa

Columbus, Ohio - The Ohio State women's swimming and diving team lost two tough meets to the Purdue Boilermakers, 222-75, and Iowa Hawkeyes, 194-102.

Melanie Johnson (Jr., Boca Raton, Fla./Olympic Heights) and Amanda Treleaven (So., Colonol Light, Australia/Norwood) were the most decorative Buckeyes during the tri-meet. Johnson place first in the 3-meter dive and second in the 1-meter dive. Treleaven place second in both the 100-backstroke and 200-back.

The Buckeye will hit the road next weekend, Nov. 16-18, when they travel to swim in the Pittsburgh Invitational in Pittsburgh, Pa. The meet will be coed with Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Missouri and Miami (OH). They then return home next Tuesday, Nov. 20, when they host Cleveland State.
