FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - The sixth-ranked Stanford men's swim team captured a record 19th consecutive Pac-10 Conference Championship as they out paced California by 32 points for the title.

Freshman Randall Bal and junior Adam Messner led the Cardinal in day three of the Pac-10 Championships. Bal had a first place finish in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:43.53, while Messner finished in first place in the 200 butterfly with a 1:43.34.

Stanford tallied 794 points in the event, while California finished in second place with 762 and Southern California finished third with 699.50. Stanford led after each round.
