Texas Men And Women Win Big 12 Relays Competition

LAWRENCE, Kan. - The University of Texas men's and women's swimming and diving teams each won their respective competitions at the Big 12 Relays held Friday, Oct. 27, at Robinson Natatorium in Lawrence, Kan. Head coach Eddie Reese's defending NCAA Champions and No. 1 ranked Texas men collected 117 points en route to their victory, trailed by No. 9 Texas A&M (105), Iowa State (67), Missouri (61.50), and Kansas (46.50). Meanwhile, co-head coaches Jill Sterkel and Mike Walker's seventh-ranked Texas women finished first with 117 points, followed by Kansas (75), Texas A&M (73), Missouri (71), and Iowa State (63).

Senior Nate Dusing (Villa Hills, Ky. / Covington Catholic) led the men's swimming team, participating in six winning relays. Junior Tommy Hannan (Baltimore, Md./Mount St. Joseph) competed on five winning relays, while freshmen Ian Crocker (Portland, Maine/Cheverus Jesuit College Prep) and Brendan Hansen (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) each contributed on four winning teams.
