Laszlo Cseh (HUN) claimed a brace of victories at the Flanders Speedo Cup in Belgium, his first long-course international of the year. First up, he took the 200m butterfly in 1:58.00 ahead of Belgium's Egon Vander Straeten, on 1:58.69, Ward Bauwens on 1:59.88, Britain's James Goddard still in the swim, in 4th on 2:03.73. 

Cseh was back later to take a second win, in 2:02.81 in the 200m medley, while Goddard finished second in the 100m backstroke, on 56.92, the race won by Emmanuel Vanluchene in 55.68.

Cseh's Hungarian teammate Daniel Gyurta, Olympic 200m breaststroke champion, clocked 1:00.12 to win the 100m in his specialist stroke, Britain's Russell Smith second in 1:02.26.

Rikke Pedersen (DEN) clocked 1:07.15 to win the 100m breaststroke ahead of sweden's Joline Hostman, on 1:08.84, and Brit Danielle Lowe, on 1:10.01, with her teammate Sophie Taylor on 1:10.07. Lowe got the better of Pedersen later in the session, 4:46.43 to 5:02.98 over 400m medley.

Among other big names at the meet, Pal Joensen (FAR) took the 400m free in 3:55.44; Bruno Fratus, the Brazilian member of the ADN Project, clocked 22.49 to take the 50m freestyle; 

For Britain, Lauren Quigley won the 50m backstroke in 28.80 and returned later for a second victory, on 2:13.91 over 200m; Eleanor Faulkner the 800m free in 8:27.11; and Rachel Turner clocked 2:00.03 to win the 200m free.
